SR Prepared

The SR Prepared Imaging Option applies a 90° RF Saturation Recovery preparation pulse to provide heart-rate-independent T1-weighting.

It is used for FGRE and FGRE-Echotrain Time Course imaging to provide contrast for hypo-perfused regions of the myocardium.

It is also used in the T1MAP application for single-point measurement of true T1. It provides better accuracy but lower precision than the IR Prepared imaging option due to the lower dynamic range of saturation recovery. The results, however, should be independent of imaging parameters and heart rate.
