Fat Enhancement

Use Fat Enhancement with 3D TOF scans (Mode: 3D, Family: Vascular, Pulse: TOF-GRE or TOF-SPGR) to improve vessel visualization of arteries located close to the nasal region. The CV is only available if a Chemical Saturation pulse is prescribed for the series. For details, see Prescribe a chemical SAT pulse.

There are two options:

  • Fat enhancement = 0 (off)
  • Fat enhancement = 1 (on), typically select when you are scanning Circle of Willis where the FOV is centered around the orbits in the superior/inferior direction.
