Maximum Number of Echoes
Use Maximum Number of Echoes with Collect All Available Echoes to select the maximum number of echoes available for overscans to improve image quality in SSFSE sequences without Tailored RF Imaging Option.
- The number of echoes can be limited to acquire a NEX value between 0.5 and 1.
- Using the maximum number of echoes improves image quality by increasing the SNR in long TE exams.
- If the maximum value is entered, the system uses all available echoes, resulting in the largest possible NEX, overriding the fractional NEX default. With Collect All Available Echoes on, and at least 256 entered as the maximum number of echoes, all 256 lines of k-space can be filled and then the image is annotated as 1 NEX.
