Number of Interleaving Echo Trains

The Number of Interleaving Echo Trains allows you to divide the echo train into one or more acquisitions using a multi-shot technique.

  • The Number of Interleaving Echo Trains is available for two Gradient Echo, 2D pulse sequences: multi-echo FGRE and multi-echo FSPGR.
  • As the number increases from 1 to 4 the system reduces the delta TE by acquiring data using a multi-shot technique.
  • The scan time increases as the echo trains increases:
    • Enter 1 to acquire all echoes within one echo train.
    • Enter 2 to separate the data acquisition into two echo trains (two shots), acquisition is twice as long.
    • Enter 3 to separate the data acquisition into three echo trains (three shots), acquisition is three times as long.
    • Enter 4 to separate the data acquisition into four echo trains (four shots), acquisition is four times as long.
