Number of ddas

Disabled acquisitions (ddas) are dummy acquisitions that use the gradients to bring the system to a steady state condition. Although the gradients are on, no RF is applied during the ddas.

• The Number of ddas default value = 0. You can enter an integer up to 16.
• Acquiring one or more ddas helps to reduce the ghosting that is sometimes seen with echo train imaging.
• Running ddas improves image quality, but slightly increases acquisition time.
