Invert Slice-selection Gradients
Typically use Invert Slice-Selection Gradients with 2D MRCP (SSFSE) scans to reduce or displace annefact artifact.
Invert Slice-Selection Gradients =1 (On) inverts the polarity of gradients on the slice axis, thus it allows you to swap the distribution of the annefact intensity along the slice direction. For example, if the annefact is more noticeable on the superior axial images, turning on the CV will swap the annefact to the more inferior axial images, thus allowing you to move the annefact away from the area of interest. The annefact signal intensity is also dependent on the coil coverage. If the coil sensitivity covers the annefact source volume, then annefact artifact may appear.
Invert Slice-Selection Gradients =0 (Off).Turns off the Invert Slice-selection gradients.
