About this task
- # of Locs Before Pause: indicates the number of locations to be acquired before pausing the scan.
- # of Acqs Before Pause: indicates the number of acquisitions to be acquired before pausing the scan.
- # of Reps Before Pause: indicates the number of TRs to be acquired before pausing the scan.
Use the Locs Before Pause parameter to pause scanning at predetermined points for breath-hold, joint motion, or contrast studies.

- To acquire a scan with Locations Before Pause, follow these steps.
- In the Scan Parameters area, select the number of locations to acquire before pausing the scan.The number of acquisitions must be determined before the number of locations before pause is available.
- Continue with the scan prescription and proceed to scan.
- Click Scan to resume scanning after each pause.
