About this task
If a scan session is active and you select Start Exam, you must first end the current scan session before opening a new scan session.Use these steps to start a scan session, from which you can acquire, post-process, view, network, and film images from a single screen.
Step-by-step instructions
- From the header area of the screen, click the
. - Select a patient from the Worklist Manager Patient List.
If the patient is not in the Worklist, click
.
- Enter all patient demographic information.
- Select a protocol.
The protocol is loaded into the Task List with the tasks associated with the protocol.
- Click Start Exam or Reopen Exam.
Result
- The button name changes based on the status of the selected patient.
- The system now allocates scanning resources and is in an active scanning session. Only scans with patient information entered can be in this state. There can only be one active scan session.
- On the SAR dB/dt screen, select a dB/dt and SAR Limits operating mode and click Accept.
Result
The exam launches and the scan session tab displays patient information.
