Adjust the ratio

About this task

Use these steps to set the minimum allowed value in the denominator of all metabolite ratios.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. From the spectroscopy Review Steps, click Spectroscopy.
    • Note: that Brain or Prostate precedes Spectroscopy, based on the selected data set.
  2. From the Spectroscopy screen, click Adv Settings tab.
  3. From the Figure 1, click Ratio tab.
  4. Click a threshold selection.
    • Select a threshold option to set the minimum allowed value in the denominator of all metabolite ratios. In regions where the denominator is less than the threshold, the system sets the ratio to zero. This prevents the ratio from becoming excessively large in regions where there is no denominator metabolite.
    • Custom allows you to type and Enter a threshold value in a text field.
  5. Click Compute to recalculate all spectra.
    • 3 values are predefined and one additional is a custom value.

    Click Reset or Reset All to return to the original settings or factory settings. Click Save All to save changed selections as the new default values.
