- From the appropriate application screen, click the preprocessing arrow and click EPI Correction or Motion Correction if the images exhibit distortions with respect to the reference image. - EPI Correction removes EPI distortions (scaling + translation + Shearing) from raw images for:
- Motion Correction minimizes the effects of patient motion during the acquisition data for:
- The correction function can automatically remove distortions by scaling, de-skewing, and translating each image to align it with the reference image.
- Once you click EPI Correction or Motion Correction, the processing begins, which is indicated by the progress bar. The correction processing time can be as long as several minutes, depending on series size and processing speed. The correction applies to the source images and the maps are automatically updated once the correction is completed.
- To save the new set of processed images so that you can access the corrected series, click Quick Export on the Export toolbar.
