In-flow artifact
T1-weighted images normally have a dark vessel signal due to saturation effects. This vessel signal can be clinically confusing in regions that have a short T1. The vessel signal becomes bright due to an in-flow effect around the edge slices or in 2D multiple acquisitions with an interleaved slice order.
To suppress signal from slow flow, apply the In-flow signal reduction with 2D FSPGR or 2D Dual Echo and thus minimize the artifact.

| Number | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | 2D FSPGR acquired with In-flow signal reduction User CV set to OFF (=0). |
| 2 | 2D FSPGR acquired with In-flow signal reduction User CV set to ON (=1). |
