T2 Map optional procedure

About this task

To change T2 Map settings, make a selection from the desired T2 Map screens.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. From the T2 Map screen, click the T2 Map settings arrow and adjust the settings.
    • The threshold eliminates trailing echoes whose intensity falls below the noise floor. Typically set the Algorithm Threshold to 20.
    • The confidence level indicates how well the final result fits the data: a small value corresponds to high confidence and a large value corresponds to low confidence. You can set a confidence level threshold: pixel locations for which the algorithm returns a confidence level above the threshold are displayed in black on the functional map. By default, the protocol uses a confidence level of (0.05).
    • The Kernel spatial smoothing default value is 2. As the kernel size increases, voxel averaging occurs and the image maps appears smoother.
    • If you change a parameter, click Compute to generate maps with the new settings.
  2. Click Compute to generate new maps.
  3. If needed, execute Clip Min & Max.
  4. From the T2 Map screen title bar area, click the Tools icon ( ).
  5. From the T2 Map screen, click the T2 Map - Final Settings arrow to review the settings. If you want to change any of the settings, follow these steps.
    1. Click the appropriate selection from the T2 Map screen.
    2. From the T2 Map settings screen, click Compute to generate updated maps.
      • Reset changes the selections to the factory default values.
      • Save All changes and saves your selections as the new default values.
  6. To save updated settings to a new READY View scenario, see Save a protocol or a review step and Review Manager and layouts work area:
    The new review scenario will be available to choose from the READY View protocol page.
  7. If desired, fuse the map with a source image. For details, see Fuse images/maps.

  8. To exit READY View, click the Exit icon ().
