About this task
Use these steps to generate parametric images from a fMRI or BOLD data set.Step-by-step instructions
- Open READY View and launch an fMRI protocol.
- When fMRI launches, the source, image maps and a time/intensity curve display. The image/graph displayed in each viewport is based on the selected protocol.
- If the fMRI exam has been acquired through the BrainWaveTM application on the MR scanner, then READY View reads the DICOM header for NS/NA/NB, and the fMRI screen shows the NS, NA and NB settings that came from the acquisition protocol. It is recommended that you check the match between time-intensity graphs and the activation pattern, and see whether NS should be adjusted, which will result in a temporal shift (horizontal axis) of the activation pattern. It is also recommended that you check the results with the different functional map types accessible from the functional map viewport.
- READY View‘s fMRI screen defaults to NS=1/NA=10/NB=10. It is therefore necessary to adjust these values manually based on your knowledge of the activation paradigm.
- BrainWave RT images acquired on a GE MR scanner that were acquired with Resting State paradigm cannot be processed in READY View.
- Respond to any prompts.
- Locate the area of interest.
- Adjust W/L and mag factor. Place the cursor in the desired viewport.
