ASL workflow

About this task

Important: Care should be taken when using quantitative measures of cerebral blood flow from 3DASL in clinical populations. Differences in CBF values may be seen when the same subject is scanned on different systems and coils. Diagnostic and treatment decisions should not be based solely on these absolute values. Use these steps to post process ASL scans and display CBF maps.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open READY View with a single series.
    • Select an ASL protocol from the Protocol Selection screen.
    • When ASL launches, the source image and CBF maps are automatically displayed. The image/graph displayed in each viewport is based on the selected protocol.
  2. Locate images for viewing.
