Series type labels
The Patient List contains several series types. The lables for each series type include:
- 3D Three-dimensional: post-processed data that can be W/L. Produced by Volume Analysis.
- ASL for scans acquired with the one-click 3DASL application.
- BINDED is a series that occurs when you use the AutoBind post process task.
- COMB Combined: result of a combination of image data that can be W/L. Produced by Add/Sub from images at different locations.
- DIFFUSION for MAGiC Synthetic DWI scans.
- DIXON is a technique developed for efficient T2-weighted imaging with uniform water and fat separation. The technique acquires two interleaved fast spin echo images with water and fat in-phase and 180° out-of-phase, respectively, and generates automatically separate water and fat images for each slice. The image reconstruction algorithm uses an improved and robust region-growing scheme for phase correction, and achieves consistency in water and fat identification between different slices by exploiting the intrinsic correlation between the complex images from two neighboring slices.
- GSPS Gray Scale Presentation State: DICOM object that can only be viewed on MR systems using the CPI Viewer. Produced by the Viewer to be used in conjunction with the original series to capture presentation information (W/L, flip, rotate, zoom). It can be networked to review stations that support this DICOM type.
- MAVRIC for scans acquired with the one-click MAVRIC SL application.
- MAGiC series types:
- MULTI_QMAP is an image type saved as a SyMap in MAGiC.
- T1 is a T1-weighted image type post processed with MAGiC.
- T2 is a T2-weighted image type post processed with MAGiC.
- T2 FLAIR is a T2-FLAIR image type post processed with MAGiC
- PSIR is a Phase Sensitive Inversion Recovery image type post processed with MAGiC.
- MDE for scans acquired with the one-click T1MAP - FIESTA application.
- OTHER for the following BrainWave post processed series:
- De-Skulled : segmented image series, which displays the brain free of skin or skull tissues.
- Mean EPI : series that includes the average of the data sets for all slices at the acquisition matrix size.
- DirEnc: directionally encoded images, which display the main direction of each diffusion tensor. Directionally encoded processed series are listed as DirEnc R/L, DirEnc A/P, and Dir, I/S.
- BIP: burnt in pixel maps for viewing images in grayscale on a non-color monitor that include the anatomical structure and activation data.
- Activation Maps: the statistical data that results from activation processing on the acquired matrix. Activation Map processed series are listed as the name of the acquired paradigm.
- PASTED is a series that occurs when you paste multiple series together using the Paste application.
- PROPELLER is a series acquired with PROPELLER .
- PROSP Prospective: acquired data that can be viewed, W/L, filtered, post-processed, measured, etc.
- PJN Projection: post-processed data that can be W/L and filtered. Produced by 3D, Reformat, and MRA.
- PROC Processed: post-processed data that can be W/L and measured. Produced by Add/Sub from images at the same location and READY View and other post-processed image.
- RFMT Reformat: post-processed data that can be W/L, filtered, and measured.
- SSAVE Screen Save: screen capture data that can be W/L. Produced by the Viewer, 3D, Reformat, MRA, and READY View applications.
