Open MR General Review (Volume Viewer)

About this task

There are two locations from which you can open the MR General Review: the Session Apps list or the Workflow Manager.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. To open the MR General Review from the Session Apps list, follow these steps.
    1. Click the Image Management icon to open the Image Management work area.
    2. From the Patient List area, select an exam. .

    3. From the series list select a single or multiple series.
    4. From the Session Apps list, click 3DViewer, Reformat/MIP, READY View or MR General Review. All of these selections launch the Volume Viewer application.

      • MultiPlanar (MPR) is the same as selecting Reformat. Note that you can select the MPR/3D icon from the Visualization toolbar to quickly view a data set as a 3D or reformat model.
      • A MIP is the same as selecting 3D.
    5. From the loading panel, select the series you wish to load and click OK.

    6. The application launches with a format based on the number of series selected from the Loading Panel. Each viewport has an image from the selected series.

  2. To open the MR General Review from the Workflow Manager, follow these steps.
    1. A scan session is active and MIP, MPR or 3D has been added as a post processed task with the Start Processing set to Manual.
    2. From the Scan/Task control panel, click Run to launch the MR General Review.
  3. To select and view images, see Select and view series/image/map procedures.
  4. To view the work area, see Volume Viewer work area.
    Note: There are occasions when you load a data set that there is some condition that results in an error message. If error message(s) appears, acknowledge them.
